Heck of a Start

Pictured above is Cam Newton, the former Auburn university Heisman Trophy and national championship-winning quarterback. After becoming an Auburn fan last year, he has been, in my, albeit naive, opinion, the most impressive player of his sport. And now I can see him when he plays for the Panthers!
Thursday night was already looking good, what with all the shopping I got to do (I'm such a girl), but when I came home to find ole #2 was picked mere seconds after the draft began, I knew I was in for a great weekend. Turns out the next Harry Potter trailer came out, too, so all sorts of goodies went down. Top that with The Office and Parks and Recreation, and you can tell I'm flying high.
But no great weekend would be complete without great food, and it was the next day that I returned to our favorite sandwich shop.
While the choice of wich I was to make was initially going to be tough to decide on, the toughest thing was actually getting into the place. Granted, the picture below doesn't do it justice, but we had never been in a more busy Which Wich (about ten people were standing behind me), and this was at quarter to two. Something must have been cooking right that day.
I was struggling for a minute: Thank You-wich (turkey, cranberry sauce and stuffing), Elvis-wich (banana, honey and peanut butter) or the Meatloaf? The sun was out, people were smiling, and I was about to eat. No neet to complicate things or be too involved: thus, I went with a regular turkey. I wanted my weekend to be a simple one, and folks, you simply can not get more simple with a turkey sandwich. And let me tell you, they don't get better than this.
I implore you to add honey mustard and swiss cheese--quintissential turkey toppings--every piece working with the other to bring fresh flavor to the forefront. Add the crunch of the fluffy bread, and yes, you guessed it--new favorite wich.
We discovered an interesting thing to try: my girlfriend got the chicken salad wich, and while I'm not the biggest proponent of these 'salads' (potato salad: narf!), it looked really delicious. She finished it, so yeah, I suppose it had to be good. I suppose I'll find out soon enough. At any rate, try putting the salad on your baked Lay's chips, as she demonstrates below:
